Centaur Theatre is proud to present the world premiere of In Absentia by Morris Panych, recipient of numerous awards including two Governor General’s Literary Awards for Drama.
Arguably the most celebrated playwright and director in Canada, Panych’s plays have been produced in over a dozen languages and he has directed more than 90 productions across the country. The Calgary-born theatre artist
is also a distinguished actor with an impressive list of theatre, television and film credits.

In response to the increasing demand for tickets to our latest production Schwartz’s: The
Musical, Centaur Theatre is pleased to announce that seven new performances have been added to the soon-to-be
legendary musical about Montreal’s famous smoked meat eatery. We will be presenting Schwartz’s: The Musical
from Wednesday April 27th to Saturday April 30th at 8PM, on Saturday and Sunday afternoon at 2PM and Sunday
evening at 7PM. We will also be selling Schwartz’s smoked meat sandwiches on Wednesday April 27th from 6.30-
7.30 PM in our Seagram’s Gallery.![]()
