A Day in the Life of Miss Hiccup created, directed and performed by Yanomi (Japan)

Yanomi was the brilliant director and one of the performers in the Montreal Fringe show that won Centaur’s pick for the 2012 Best Production – English Theatre Award, My Exploding Family, produced by the Japanese theatre company, Osara Soup.

Centaur is thrilled that Yanomi has accepted the invitation to return to Montreal this January to present yet another Japanese company’s show. Yanomi is the creator, director and will perform the one-woman show, Shoshinz’s production of A Day in the Life of Miss Hiccup, as part of Centaur’s 2013 Wildside Festival.

Shoshinz is one of the most renowned comedy acts in Japan, regularly performing in Tokyo, Canada, and the United States, and has toured to Russia, Iran, and many countries across Asia. She is greeted at every stop with enthusiasm for her explosive energy and radical performance innovations.

Nothing Never Happens in Norway written by Joanne Sarazen, directed by Nichole George and musical direction by Shayne Gryn.

Nothing Never Happens in Norway

Nothing Never Happens in Norway

Based on Ibsen's baddest bitches and blandest backwoods, Nothing Never Happens in Norway sings in this musical adaptation of Rosmersholm and The Master Builder all rolled into one Norwegian Folk Rocking good time. Processed Theatre is a Montreal-based independent theatre company whose mandate is to produce, promote, create and educate about musical theatre with a contemporary voice. In 2010, their inaugural production of Reefer Madness: The Musical played to over 1,000 people. Their next season was followed by EDGES: A Song Cycle and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Nothing Never Happens in Norway is musical theatre of the locally produced, youthfully exuberant kind, featuring strong voices and witty songs”
