On behalf of our artists, the staff and Centaur Theatre’s Board of Directors, I thank you for taking the time to learn more about us and to acknowledge the talent, dedication and many resources that contribute to our own “playmaking.”

We hope you will become a member of the Director’s Circle and demonstrate your support for the many activities and endeavours of Centaur Theatre Company. The financial contributions we receive from individuals like you, no matter the amount, help us to create professional theatre of the highest calibre. In this busy world, gathering together to enjoy a play is a rare instance where language, imagery and ideas engage us in a bold and often beautiful act of shared imagination.

As a non-profit charity, Centaur Theatre must diversify its revenue sources by reaching out to individuals as well as the corporate sector, foundations and the three levels of government that support our activities. This year, we are planning to start an endowment fund to support Centaur's long-term future. Each dollar placed in the endowment fund will be matched by the Quebec Arts Council (CALQ). Our goal is to raise $42,000 from the individual campaign to meet this year’s needs. Any money that we can raise above this amount will be placed into the endowment fund, and it will be matched dollar for dollar. That is why we urge you to join us in the Director’s Circle. For friends who already donate to this campaign, now is a great opportunity to increase your support.

Your tax-deductible contribution will sustain our many programs and ensure that Centaur can continue to provide affordable and accessible English-language theatre to the people of Montreal and to our many out-of-town English-speaking visitors. Join Centaur’s Imagination Society to insure that future generations will have access to quality English-language theatre. This group of visionaries is comprised of friends who provide or bequeath major gifts to Centaur. The first 20 benefactors will be the Founders of the Imagination Society.
